Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) recorded total imports and exports of 210.3 billion yuan ($29.31 billion) in the first half of 2025, marking a 15.5 percent year-on-year increase and 8.4 percentage points higher than the citywide average. The growth rate ranks first among all districts, with WND accounting for 54.1 percent of Wuxi's total foreign trade.

WND-based companies have actively expanded into international markets and are now trading with more than 180 countries and regions, a record high.

Among the standout performers is Longmax, which secured 110 million yuan in orders in the first six months, with exports accounting for 80 percent and rising 20 percent year-on-year. "With our high-performance products and full life-cycle service system, we've made significant progress in global markets. We're now doing business in the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, South and North America, Africa, and Oceania," said the company's chairman.

Boton Technology also saw a 21 percent increase in overseas services. "In the first half of this year, we entered new markets including Bangladesh, India, Kazakhstan, Canada, the United States, and Brazil. Export orders, mainly for high-performance steel cord conveyor belts and special fabric-core belts, rose by 40 percent," said Bao Zhifang, the chairman.

To support companies in expanding abroad, WND launched an international service platform this year. By integrating resources from government, society, and enterprises, the platform provides comprehensive services to help companies overcome information barriers and connect with global markets.
